New Bob Weir Trio

Wolf Brothers have a jazzy sound

Fans of Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir can enjoy his performances with the Wolf Brothers, his new trio that has what listeners say is a jazzy sound. It's not Weir's first beyond-the-dead act but the latest of several that he's been in, including the current run with John Mayer's Dead & Company.

Weir sings too, of course, and I couldn't believe it when I read that he's 71 years old. It shouldn't be surprising, but time certainly flies when it comes to the best musicians. Even at this age Weir continues to rock out and fill venues with sold out shows of people who not only want to hear him but even line up outside hoping for an extra ticket.
