If you were at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia on July 7, 1989, you were lucky enough to hear the Grateful Dead play "Box of Rain" after it had been virtually retired for over a decade. I like the commentary about the video itself, but it also really makes me thing. Imagine how many bands don't even have enough hit songs to send songs into retirement, only having a handful of popular picks to make a set list out of every tour. There are plenty of bands like that; we all know many of them. The Dead are just so different in that regard, but so are their fans, who normally enjoy just about everything they played.
