Big Boss Man

Check out this live performance

For those of you who follow the Grateful Dead on Twitter, you're used to the regular treats like swag updates, concerts and tribute band schedules and, possibly the best gifts of all, links to old shows that you can watch from the comfort of your own home, often on YouTube. Today is no exception with the gift of the performance of "Big Boss Man" from the June 16, 1990 concert in Mountain View, California!

This one's so exciting because it wasn't part of a regular set list, although many fans will argue that they did get to see it in random performances over the years. On the other hand, there are plenty of fans who argue that it simply should have been played more often, Pigpen notwithstanding, and that it didn't make sense to knock it out of full rotation. This is one that some fans argue isn't even a rarity, while others who've never seen it still enjoy it well.

Did you ever get to see "Big Boss Man" live? Do you remember where and when? Share your memories in the chat.
